If there happens to be a lake around, then you may enjoy fishing with your girlfriend or spouse. Let me tell you that believe me that I caught a huge fish with my girl friend- on my cottage vacation. My girl friend loves to cook and she made a wonderful meal out of our catch. We had a fabulous meal together and after that we went out and did some shopping! After spending the entire day with each other, we returned to the airport and caught a flight back to New York.
It is not necessary that you spend the vacation with your spouse or girlfriend. Even a group of friends will do! You just need to have a good company and you can leave the rest on the cottage location. I would like to inform you that the big guns also like to spend months living alone in some far off places- because it gives them peace and relaxation!
